Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
OJOO is an AI-powered job search platform available at app.ojoo.com, created and operated by Peter Symons, based in Belgium. Questions about this policy? Email privacy@ojoo.com.
2. What OJOO is
OJOO is a web application that automates your job search. It connects to services you already use — Google (Gmail and Google Calendar) and LinkedIn — to help you find, track, and apply for jobs using AI. Your job search data is stored securely in OJOO's own database so it's available across devices and sessions.
3. Data we collect
Account data
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication method (Google OAuth token or hashed password).
Job search data
To provide the service, we store in our database: your target roles, salary, location preferences and priorities; job listings you've discovered, saved, or applied to; AI-generated CVs, cover letters, and interview prep notes; interview debriefs and learning logs; and your application status and pipeline stage.
Website analytics
The ojoo.com website uses Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first, cookie-free tool. No personal data is collected, no cookies are set, and it is fully GDPR compliant.
4. Google account data — Gmail & Calendar
🔒 Google API Limited Use Disclosure
OJOO's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access Google data only to provide and improve features you explicitly use — never for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to OJOO.
When you connect your Google account, OJOO may request access to the following, depending on which features you enable:
| Scope | What we access | Why | What we store |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gmail | Compose and manage email drafts in your Gmail account | To create outreach and follow-up email drafts on your behalf — drafts stay in your Gmail until you choose to send or delete them | OAuth refresh token (encrypted). Email content is not stored on our servers — it is written directly to your Gmail drafts folder. |
| Google Calendar | Read your calendar and create events | To check your availability and schedule interviews or follow-ups on your behalf | OAuth refresh token (encrypted). Calendar event content is not stored on our servers — it is written directly to your Google Calendar. |
| Google Profile | Your name and email address | To identify your OJOO account when you sign in with Google | Name and email stored as part of your account record. |
What we do NOT do with your Google data:
- We do not read, index, or store the content of your existing emails or calendar events
- We do not use your Google data to train AI models
- We do not sell, rent, or share your Google data with advertisers or data brokers
- We do not allow humans to access your Gmail or Calendar data except where you explicitly request support and grant permission, or where required by law
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except to the extent necessary to provide the OJOO service (e.g. the AI inference layer that generates your drafts)
5. LinkedIn data
OJOO scans LinkedIn through your own Chrome browser session using the Claude in Chrome extension. Scanning uses your real LinkedIn session — we do not receive or store your LinkedIn credentials. Job listing data extracted during a scan (title, company, description) is stored in your OJOO account. We do not store your LinkedIn browsing history, connections, messages, or any data beyond the job listings explicitly extracted during a scan.
6. How we use your data
We use data we hold to: provide and operate OJOO; generate AI-powered CVs, cover letters, email drafts, and interview prep on your behalf; authenticate you and keep your account secure; send essential service communications; diagnose technical issues and improve the service; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose incompatible with providing OJOO.
7. Data storage & security
Your account and job search data is stored in our database, hosted on Supabase infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Google OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and never exposed in logs or API responses.
8. Deleting your data
Disconnect Google access

- Find OJOO and click Remove Access
- Your OAuth tokens are deleted from our servers within 24 hours
Delete your OJOO account
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your data is purged within 30 days.

10. Your rights (GDPR)

11. Children's privacy
OJOO is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
